Venue

Barbara: Infopoint, café, culture

ul. Świdnicka 8c
Wrocław

In its new guise, Barbara is the information point of the European Capital of Culture 2016. Its staff will give you details about ECC projects and events, and help you make an informed choice. Free leaflets are available, and a multimedia desk allows visitors to search for selected cultural events on wroclaw2016.pl, wroclaw.pl and Capital of Culture websites and social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Google +. Next to the infopoint there is a Reading Room with publications by ESK2016 and local publishers as well as a playing area for children. Barbara is also a venue for art events, such as concerts, exhibition launches and performances, and a meeting place and forum for exchanging ideas during panel discussions, conferences and arts workshops. It is also an ideal place to meet up with friends and family. The name Barbara is a nod to the legendary bar that used to occupy the same space in the communist era.
