Na Grobli Studio opened in April 2010 in an Art Nouveau complex of buildings that were once home to the Wratislavia Rowing Association. Designed by Konrad Helbig, the Wratislavia House was built on the site of the former building of the Association, erected in 1891. Through the efforts of Director Jarosław Fret, the Grotowski Institute secured 1449  square meters of new space which was extensively renovated and now houses the Studio Space (a former ballroom), rehearsal spaces and guest rooms. Na Grobli Studio plays host to theatre performances, artist residencies and workshops. The Studio Space has seen the premiere performances of Odin Teatret’s The Chronic Life directed by Eugenio Barba and Teatr ZAR’s Armine, Sister.
