Małgorzata Dziewulska is an essayist, theatre director and author of texts about contemporary directing and staging, and of the books Teatr zdradzonego przymierza (1985; Theatre of the Betrayed Covenant), Artyści i Pielgrzymi (1995; Artists and Pilgrims), Inna obecność (2009; A Different Presence). She was part of the literary management team at Old Theatre in Kraków, the literary manager at Warsaw’s National Theatre under Jerzy Grzegorzewski, and a programming consultant at the Dramatic Theatre in Warsaw. She has lectured at the Department of Theatre and Drama of the Jagiellonian University. Małgorzata Dziewulska has conducted seminars at the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute. She made a documentary about Ludwik Flaszen and is currently creating documentaries and researching the work of Tadeusz Kantor. She teaches at the Theatre Academy, Warsaw.
