Jan Rosołowski (born 1961) studied philosophy at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poland. After martial law was lifted, he left Poland, and in 1989 he studied psychology at Paris-Sorbonne. He qualified as a psychologist and still works in the field. Jan Rosołowski started his artistic activities after studying at the Study of Fine Art at Paris-Sorbonne. In 2003, he graduated from the Spéos School of Photography, Paris. His photographs have earned him several awards and distinctions: Best Portrait Award (national competition, France, 1999), gold medal (Austria, 2000), gold medal (Italian Grand Tour della Collina, 2000), nomination (Voies Off Arles).
