Description

While immersing the audience in the mysteries of the human body and its expression, C.O.R.P.uS. writes a page of dance history. It starts as any scientific conference with living models would. But soon the proceedings are disturbed by ghosts invading both the stage and the bodies. Who are they? And what are they trying to tell us?

The ghosts take possession of the living models and embody famous choreographers and dancers from the beginning of the 20th century. Dancing and talking, Vaslav Nijinsky, Isadora Duncan, Mary Wigman and Valeska Gert give away some of their secrets.

C.O.R.P.uS. mixes texts and dance as a soft entry to dance history and especially to the emergence of the so-called free dance. L’Oiseau-Mouche’s performers carry with great strength this freedom of body and feelings.
