Reza Haddad (born 1969) is a drama graduate (BA in 1997, MA in 2000). He has been working professionally in theatre since 1993. Together with Bazi Theater Company, he founded Iran Theater Workshop in 2002. In the same year, he set up Sayeh Theater Company. In 2012, Haddad created the Tasvir Aftab Institute of Art & Culture. His directorial credits include: Armoon, Arghavan, Taa’zieh, Rostam Left Shahnameh, Scopen’s Tricks, Funny Nightmares for Nights and Some for Days and Killing the Pigeon. He has taken part in a number of international projects. In 2009, Haddad's production There Is Nobody to Remember All the Stories was staged in Hamburg, Hanover and at the Avignon Theatre Festival, where it was very well received by the audience. In 2008, Reza Haddad directed The Muzzle of Silence, which played at the Fajr International Theater Festival. In summer 2010, and then during the 5th edition of Theatre Olympics in Seoul, Korea, he presented Revelation at the Silent Party, which was a unique success in Iran. His production Is There Anybody Out There? was hugely popular with audiences, achieving the greatest box office success after the Islamic revolution.
